Join Our Team as a Consultant Psychiatrist

Location: Bristol

Salary: £160,000 pro rata FTE

Hours: Part-Time, Permanent (30 hours per week)

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding opportunity in Bristol? We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly-motivated professional to join the team at our specialist acute service for male and female patients.

Position Overview:

The hospital cares for patients aged 18 and over. We now have a full time Consultant vacancy to cover 10 beds in our female acute inpatient service. You will be part of a well-established and cohesive Multidisciplinary Team on the ward including a Speciality Doctor.  

Requirements:

• You must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
• MRCPsych or equivalent
• AC approved and S12 approved MHA 1983
• Acute inpatient and outpatient experience
• You will have experience at Consultant level and will have held a consultant position in the NHS
• You will continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for Psychiatry.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
