An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Crewe, Cheshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providersThis is a mental health hospital for women. The service is split in two distinct wards each offering specialist mental health service**To be considered for this position you must hold a Full GMC Registration**As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTAssess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service usersUndertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatmentParticipate in ward rounds & clinical auditsLead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governanceSupervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers' hearings & attend hearingsParticipate in a second on call rota, currently 1:13The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:Experienced & knowledgeable in adult psychiatry & mental health diagnosisKnowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of CapacityA first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notesCommitted to continued professional developmentAble to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teamThe successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary up to £165,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 40 hours a week working through Days.
