Main Duties:
Fulfill the role of Responsible Clinician for patients, overseeing the referral and admission process, and contributing to pre-admission assessmentsServe as a key member of an established multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing person-centric care and treatment programs for patientsPlay a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychiatric careDemonstrate a passion for delivering first-class psychiatric careContribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plansCollaborate with team members to evaluate and adjust treatment strategies as neededParticipate in clinical reviews and case conferences to ensure comprehensive care coordinationProvide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff membersMaintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notesStay abreast of latest developments in psychiatric treatment modalities and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient careFoster a therapeutic environment conducive to patient recovery and well-beingActively engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements of theConsultant Psychiatrist:
Completion of CCST/CCT or equivalent in relevant psychiatry specialtiesDemonstrated experience in providing care within inpatient settings for individuals with complex mental health issuesPrevious consultancy-level involvement in Eating Disorder ServicesMaintaining registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), including being on the special register for psychiatry
