Location: Northampton
Full Time (part time or full time will be considered)
Salary: Total package up to £150,000 depending on experience
Suitable for an experienced Consultant or someone due to complete their CCT in the next 6 months.

Our services in Northampton, set in 150 plus acres of woodland greenery are spread across 5 Divisions – Medium Secure, Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation, Learning Disability and Autism, Neuropsychiatry and CAMHS. We have a number of unique specialist national services including our Deaf Forensic Service, Huntington’s Service, Secure Brain Injury Service, Older Adults Secure Services, Blended Women’s Service (one of 3 National Pilots) and a specialist inpatient DBT service.

The Role:
The Neuropsychiatry service in Northampton have an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to develop and strengthen their experience whilst having the chance to develop research and clinical ideas. This service is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and a holistic approach is taken to patient care and treatment.
We currently have two vacancies:
Vacancy 1 - working in Acquired Brain Injury, we have a Consultant Psychiatrist vacancy in our admissions ward. You will be responsible for the care of patients with complex mental health and neuro-rehabilitation needs. There is a full multidisciplinary team, including a consultant clinical neuropsychologist and specialist occupational therapist.
Vacancy 2 - working in our Lowther Dementia Village, our Consultant Psychiatrist will work alongside a dedicated and specialist team caring for patients with advanced dementia and functional illnesses. Lowther Dementia Village has a full care pathway for men, including an admission ward, a complex care ward, and a ward for patients with increased personal care or physical healthcare needs.

The post-holder will be able to undertake non-clinical activities of interest e.g. research, teaching, governance and management - in an innovative way, and influence the direction of services in order for them to attain the best outcomes for our patients.
The Service:
Our Neuropsychiatry Division offers specialist services for patients with Dementia and Acquired Brain Injury. The care and rehabilitation offered is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments, for its excellence in service delivery and for its ability to manage and reduce the risks associated with these conditions.
The Neuropsychiatry Division also offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The service uses a variety of outcomes, both patient facing and quality improvement focused, to complement clinical decisions and guide strategic direction.
