Job summaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Consultant within Obstetrics. The successful postholder will have experience and an interest in High-Risk Pregnancy. As a Consultant at Royal Oldham Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of women's healthcare, contributing to our commitment to excellence and innovation. You will be a strong collaborator, confident in working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care for both mother and baby. You will act as role model who champions our values and behaviours with a passion to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care to patients.Main duties of the jobYour duties will involve overseeing the comprehensive care of pregnant women facing complex medical conditions or obstetric complications. This includes the diagnosis, management, and coordination of care for patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or other high-risk factors, ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. Your role will extend to providing leadership within a multidisciplinary team, participating in clinical governance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of obstetric services. Your dedication to patient-centred care, collaboration with colleagues, and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements will be paramount in ensuring the highest standards of care and maintaining Royal Oldham Hospital's position as a centre of excellence in Obstetrics. You will also have a Gynaecology Clinic and theatre time as part of the job plan which is flexible to your interest. Qualifications and Professional Registration

EssentialMRCOG or appropriate specialist qualificationRelevant CCT or equivalent ("equivalence" must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by the date of the AAC)Entry onto the GMC specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC

Knowledge, Training & Experience
