Consultant Gynaecologist in OncologyNHS Medical & Dental: ConsultantJob overviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic consultant gynaecologist with an interest in local oncology and colposcopy to join our friendly multidisciplinary team in Salford. This a 10 PA post combining oncology and colposcopy with general gynaecology and emergency gynaecology.The oncology team works closely with colleagues at the Christie hospital and the local colorectal surgery team.We are a gynaecology only unit with no associated maternity services based mainly on the Salford Royal site with some day-case surgery performed at Rochdale Infirmary.Salford and Manchester are vibrant cities with a multitude of cultural, sporting and entertainment opportunities to enjoy. Lonely Planet named Manchester as the only UK city on its’ 2023 international must-visit list.Main duties of the jobThe job plan will include oncology colposcopy and general gynaecology clinics, attendance at the gynae-oncology The Christie-led sMDT, elective surgery lists on both sites and emergency gynaecology work. The post holder will be the NCA deputy lead colposcopist.The successful candidate will have completed the ATSM in local oncology or have equivalent skills and experience. They will be a BSCCP accredited colposcopist. Strong minimal access and open surgical skills will be an advantageWe hope to recruit a colleague who shares our aspirations and drive for continuous improvement of our services and for ensuring our trainees receive the best training and experience. We currently are currently the 3 rd
