Mentus Recruitment are proud to be working with an independent hospital in the Leeds area to offer a permanent opportunity for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry.
We are working in partnership with our esteemed client who are leading specialist in adult inpatient services.
The role of Consultant in Adult Psychiatry is based on an adult acute ward and being the responsible clinician for 16 patients on the ward.

About the Hospital:
- Specialist hospital for female patients
- Hospital comprised of 4 wards offering a variety of environments to support the assessment, treatment and specialist care
- This role is based on a newly opened ward for female acute patients

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Working on a female acute ward for 16 patients
- Offering leadership and guidance as well as being Responsible Clinician for patients
- Leading the MDT team and liaising with external professionals and ensure quality standards for all patients
- Delivering high quality care to patients and families
- Providing care to all patients on the ward with the support of junior doctors and team of physical health specialists
- Attending MHA meetings and completion of MHA reports
- Working alongside consultant colleagues, junior doctor and MDT who support the ward

Qualifications and Experience
-Previous experience at Consultant level.
-GMC registration- Essential
-Section 12 and Approved Clinician Status- Essential
-CCT or CESR- Essential
- MRCPsych or FRCPsych- Essential
- MBBS or MBChB medical degree or equivalent- Essential
