This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come. Job overviewEast Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust requires a Consultant in Emergency Medicine based at Conquest Hospital.Applicants must have full GMC registration and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of CCT at date of interview.Main duties of the jobEast Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operates two level 1 emergency departments at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital in Hastings.Forming part of the Sussex Trauma Network the Conquest is a designated Trauma Unit. Conquest Emergency Department currently has 4 full time consultants,7 specialty doctors and 1 associate specialist together with 3 FY2s, 2 ACCS ST1/CT1s, 3 GP ST1s, 2 ST4-ST6 trainees ,1 ST3 trainee and 4 “trust grade” posts.The appointees will join the existing consultants to complete the team at Conquest Hospital but may on occasion be required to work cross-site at Eastbourne .The timetabled job plan will be 10 PA’s, comprising of 7.5 direct care sessions and 2.5 SPAs.For details of job plan please see attached job description.Working for our organisationWe are proud to provide ‘Outstanding’ care and be a great place to workWe provide safe, compassionate and high quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex.
