LMP Group are looking for experienced tutor to deliver the BTEC Construction and Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Construction / Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment for LMP Employability. The role will be teaching via Teams to adults aged 19+ to guide and support their learning and achievement of level 1 construction qualifications.
Alongside this you will need to deliver training, coaching and assessment that effectively assists learners to develop vocational skills to prepare learners for work.
Monitor learner's progression and ensure all forms of teaching, learning and assessment for each element of the qualification is completed enabling learners to meet the criteria for achievement of the chosen qualification.
Take part in standardisation and team meetings and undertake continuing professional development as required.
Deliver outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment to learners.
Promote, and deliver training in accordance with qualification and center guidelines, including the promotion of equality and diversity and prevent in lessons.
Adhere to all statutory responsibilities and ensure Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Maintain high standards of quality and compliance and complete all contractual paperwork and documentation as required.
Maintain learner records accurately, and ensure all evidence for all visits is readily available and accessible for audit and quality purposes.
Implement any improvements identified as a result of performance reviews and internal quality assurance.
To develop and maintain own professional and occupational knowledge, skills, and experience, including formal training, CPD and networking with fellow professionals. Ensure English and math is embedded into delivery as required or delivered stand alone as needed.
Must have Level 2 Functional Skills English, Math, ICT
Level 3 Award Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or equivalent.
Experience working in the Construction industry
In depth understanding of delivering BTEC and Highfield qualifications in construction
Level 4 Award in Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice or equivalent
Teaching Degree or PGCE
Proven experience of online/classroom-based learning, teaching, and assessment History of working with people with complex barriers to progression, and adults aiming to enter/reenter employment
Experience of internal quality assurance and knowledge of awarding body requirements
Proven track record delivering BTEC / Highfield vocational qualifications in construction
Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to engage with young people, colleagues and school staff
