Construction Manager / Site Manager - Battery Storage Site (BESS) - Renewable Energy – Scotland, UK – Contract Position
Are you an experienced Site Manager with a proven tracker record of managing complex construction projects? Have you got aspirations to be a part of the energy transition? If so, please read below.
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, with your primary focus being to monitor the EPC contractors on site, on behalf of the owner.
Role & Responsibilities:
Review and ensure compliance with contractors quality plans, IPPs, and engineering drawings.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety practices and report issues.
Track site progress, update weekly reports, and manage NCRs.
Coordinate logistics and inspections for supplied materials and oversee handover procedures.
Facilitate weekly meetings with contractors to resolve site issues and provide technical guidance.
Record safety observations, ensure proper traffic management, and maintain all documentation in English.
Prepare and manage project punch lists, and participate in punch walkdowns.
Attend weekly contractor toolbox talks and ensure contractors prepare weekly/monthly reports.
Following contractors in regards of preparation of weekly/monthly reports
Report Directly to the Senior Construction Manager
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years in Construction Management, with a proven tracker record of managing complex construction projects
Effective verbal and written communication skills, being able to convey technical information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders
Clear understanding and knowledge of HSE
Proficiency in quality control and compliance
Strong site monitoring and safety management skills
Effective progress tracking and reporting abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Project management expertise, particularly in commissioning and handover procedures
Fluency in English for all written and verbal communications
Logistics:
Start date would be September 2024
This will be a 12 month contract
The role is OUTSIDE IR35
Must be willing to be present on site
10 Hour Day
Accommodation, Subsistence and Travel Expenses are reimbursed
