Job Title: Management Accountant (Construction)
Location: Liverpool, UK
Salary: Up to £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Overview: As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial aspects of the construction projects. Working closely with project managers and stakeholders, you will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Your insights and expertise will contribute to informed decision-making, driving the success of our projects and ensuring financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
* Monitor project budgets and costs, providing analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
* Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost control and efficiency improvement.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Collaborate with project teams to track financial progress, review contracts, and assess risks.
* Provide financial insights and support to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
* Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
* Understanding of CIS and construction VAT.
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Management Accountant within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
* Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
