Job DescriptionWe are currently on the lookout for a skilled forward-thinking Estimator to fulfil a vital function working for a reputable main contractor that specialises in delivering high-end residential and hospitality projects. This role entails preparing accurate estimates from bills of quantities, specifications, and drawings within specified deadlines.Main responsibilities:Analyse tender documentation to discern the scope of works and subpackages for inquiry.Produce bill of quantities for final submissionReview tender information and compile trade-specific packages for pricing by the supply chain.Create trade-specific quantified bills of quantities to aid supply chain pricingManage tender queries and collaborate with the pricing supply chain to address concerns.The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience including proficiency in estimating projects exceeding £20mil and the ability to independently handle tenders. A degree or qualification in quantity surveying or estimating is preferred, along with the following skillset:Technical and cost awareness regarding construction materials, products and labour.Excellent communicator and IT user (ability to use various estimating software such as Conquest or CCS)Ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities.Attention to detail and diligence.The company itself is an established yet still growing business that would offer a competitive benefits package, including private healthcare, pension, cycle-to-work scheme, and an annual discretionary bonus on top of a fixed salary.
