Our client, a well-respected, Regional Housebuilder, based in the Gloucester area, are seeking a Construction Buyer to join them due to a long-term member of staff retiring shortly. The Construction Buyer will be responsible for procuring a range of materials from groundworks through to finishing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regional developer with an invaluable reputation, that has been operating for over 30 years and are forecasting circa 300 units next year.
Construction Buyer Position Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £50k - £70k DOE (guide only)
* Bonus scheme

* 25 holidays per year which increase by 1 day per year to a maximum of 30 days plus Bank Holidays

Construction Buyer Position Overview
* Taking off and scheduling materials from drawings and specifications.
* Sending supplier tender enquiries and analysing them on receipt.
* Creating purchase orders using COINS software.
* Manage and update materials price database.
* Assisting sites with day-to-day plant and materials requirements.
* Dealing with site or supplier delivery / invoice queries.
* Check and authorise supplier invoices.
Construction Buyer Position Requirements
* Prior experience as a Construction Buyer ideally with a Housebuilder but Contractor candidate will be considered
* Based in the Gloucester area
* Must have a full knowledge of materials from Groundworks through to completion
* Skilled in COINS & Excel
* Open to candidates from mid to senior level
