A private Approved Inspector now seek a Construction Auditor of HRBs across London and the South-East. The home-based role will focus on the planning phase of residential, mixed-use, and commercial schemes, in addition to conducting site inspections of construction in progress. Applications encouraged from chartered building control or structural warranty professionals with current HRB experience. Starting salary from �60,000 to �75,000, plus bonus, car/ allowance, fuel card, enhanced pension, with opportunities for career progression.

Construction Auditor Responsibilities

  • Provide a technical point of reference on project delivery.
  • Audit specific company policies and practices.
  • Assist and guide clients as directed to comply with construction standards in line with current and forthcoming legislation.
  • Effective ownership of external project stakeholder relationships including construction standards management, project managers, architects, clients and contractors.
  • Assist in the development of the role within the company.
  • Assist in the delivery of the business's budget and development plans.
  • Document work and allocation of time to projects in line with CTC process.
  • Build contact base within the construction industry.

Construction Auditor Requirements

  • RICS/CABE/CIOB member status.
  • Preferably qualified to degree level in Building Control / Building Surveying / related construction discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' building inspection experience.
  • Understanding of commercial building control and fire safety.
  • Strong analytical and report production skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills.
