Connected Car and Navigation Test Technician - 0844 - £18.01/hr PAYE

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a Connected Car & Navigation Test Technician to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time Test Technician role is based in Cranfield and offers a PAYE rate of £18.01 per hour.

As a Connected Car & Navigation Test Technician, you will test relating to HMI (Human Machine Interface), Navigation/Infotainment systems/Telematics, and mobile phone applications. You will work to a project schedule to complete test activities promptly, analyse test results, and report on the quality of the software.

To give you an idea of how this Connected Car & Navigation Test Technician role would look and feel, here are some areas you can expect to work in:

• Work to a project schedule to complete test activities in a timely manner
• Execute test cases aligned to defined scenarios both statically and dynamically
• Analyse test results and report on the quality of the software
• Basic vehicle disassembly to access key components within the vehicle
• Use of vehicle diagnostic tools

We are seeking a Connected Car and Navigation Test Technician with an understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools and vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find. You will also require:

• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report writing & presentation preparation
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Interest in the latest smartphones and applications
• C&G / BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
