The Design & Configuration Team Leader / Config Manager will be leading a team of 4 (x2 Mechanical Design Engineers and x2 Engineering Administrators)
A Pivotal and collaborative role, you will be central to setting ways of working, managing the configuration control plan and making sure that plan is implemented for all the products in the business.
There are a lot of legacy issues as, as a business they have been through lots of different ways of controlling and defining over the years, some of this is now obsolete and needs updating in order to move it forwards.
From an engineering perspective, the Design & Configuration Team Leader / Config Manager will stabilise and unify how they manage the config of all products. What are the systems we are using, how are we going to use them and train everyone in using them.
What's the process for managing change, who is involved - inspire this change, train and then police these changes.
