JOB TITLE – Conference and Events Bars TeamLeader DEPARTMENT –Conference and EventsRATE OF PAY - £10.61per hour including fantastic benefitsCONTRACT TYPE –Full TimeHOURS OF WORK –37.5 hours per weekSHIFTDETAILS – 5 days out of 7OVERVIEWWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join ourConference and Events team at Celtic Manor Resort.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR …The rolerequires a good eye for detail to ensure that the highest standards of serviceare delivered as part of the guests seamless journey through the Resort. Youwill need to be an excellent team player, a motivator, have good communicationskills, a passion for delivering high levels of customer service, possess aprofessional attitude and have high standards of presentation.Having a background in leading ateam in a hospitality environment you will have a passion for the industry andwant to deliver our customers a memorable experience. Ideally you willhave experience in a 4* or 5* hotel or will have worked in an environment thathas catered for volume banqueting.WHAT YOU’LL DO …You will be one of a number of Team Leaders reporting to the Operations Managerand will be given responsibility for small teams to assist in the delivery ofdaily events. This may be the responsibility for a small event or a selectionof small meetings or to supervise an element of a busy lunch service. Duringdinner service your role is to lead a team of up to 12 staff to deliver platedmeals to a section of tables and to ensure that every guests received therequired meal including managing the delivery of special dietary options. Priorto service you will brief your team to ensure everyone is clear in their dutiesand check your area. You will need to be well organised, be able to prioritiseyour work and be able to think on your feet as changes often happen with shortnotice.
