Conduct Risk and MI Analyst

Support the Conduct Risk Team on MI analysis to assess Ascot’s conduct risk exposures for all existing and new products.
Ensure all MI reports are complete, accurate and consistent. Assist Conduct team with modelling and explaining data, highlighting where products data in breach of pre-set KPI thresholdsfor various reports and committee packs working closely with multiple stakeholders. Play a crucial role in developing a strong and robust Conduct MI reporting suite as it enables the business to identify good and bad outcomes and help them make decisions about remedial actions. You will show willingness to further develop the Conduct Risk knowledge and assist the team with risk assessments as per Ascot’s Product Oversight Framework. Detailed Duties:Monitor Ascot’s adherence to the FCA and Lloyd’s requirements and identify good and bad customer outcomes via monitoring the Conduct MI, and raise any identified issues with the Conduct Risk team: Obtain appropriate Conduct Risk related management information and incorporating this into the Conduct Risk MI reporting dashboards as well as providing appropriate analytical commentary on the MI.
Complete and submit Conduct Risk related Lloyd’s and regulatory returns in a timely manner.
Produce required Conduct/Complaints MI packs for management review. Where required, obtain Conduct MI from third parties for inclusion in Management Conduct pack.
Assess the metrics and outputs holistically across the DA distribution channel and Open Market business, identifying any trends or systemic issues or failures in Ascot’s abilities to deliver good outcomes.
Where required, assisting the Complaints Associate with reviewing, and responding to all complaints, making sure all communications sent are in accordance with relevant deadlines and contain the appropriate wording. Where required, use Caresmart to log all Ascot’s complaints.
Reviewing the additional MI standards and requirements under the Consumer Duty (or any other future regulatory changes) and assess the changes needed to existing processes and MI reporting to comply.
Support Conduct risk team with new and existing products reviews, as per Ascot’s Product Governance Processes and Procedures. Other: Ad-hoc projects as determined by the Conduct Risk Manager and the Conduct Risk and Controls Lead.

Experience using Caresmart and working knowledge of Excel and Power Bi would be an advantage . Study support will be provided to the successful candidate should they wish to pursue further qualifications. Experience: Must have:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in analysing large datasets using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau or QlikView.
The ability to present complex data accurately in a clear and visually appealing manner through charts, graphs, and dashboards.
Insurance Industry Experience: Understanding of the insurance and underwriting domain, especially in relation to the Lloyd's market.
Degree in maths, statistics, engineering, STEM, or a related field.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory standards specific to the insurance industry and data management. Skills: The successful candidate will have/be:
The knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts for storing, retrieving, and managing data efficiently.
A willingness to learn business processes and objectives to translate data insights into trend analysis and suitable narrative for reporting and decision making.
The ability to evaluate data quality, identify patters, trends and anomalies and date meaningful conclusions. to proactively identify business problems, develop resolution plans and develop solutions using data.
Effective communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
A willingness to stay updated with the latest trends, tools and techniques in data analysis, business intelligence and Conduct Risk.
The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, Delegated Authority, Underwriting, Claims and Complaints. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
