Job: Condition Surveyor

Location: Huddersfield

Rate: �18.53 PAYE , �22.98 Umbrella + 48p mileage and expenses

IR35 status: Inside

Working pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (flexi-time available)

Contract Length: 6 Months

A West Yorkshire Local Authority have opened up a key opportunity for an experienced Condition Surveyor who also has experience with damp and mould matters.

The Surveyor will be required to create detailed survey's on various local government properties. Reporting on Damp & Mould, disrepair, Rising damp and general repairs to property.

Specific duties will include:

  • Carry out stock condition surveys, and contribute to the development of the Asset Management Plan and Investment Strategy.
  • Carry out Professional Estimating and Quantity Surveying functions for a range of contractual agreements from initial receipt of the contract documentation to the submission and agreement of the final accounts.
  • Provide specialist expertise on domestic gas heating and / or electrical services and project management of rewiring programmes, other electrical schemes, gas servicing contracts, maintenance contracts, planned maintenance and commercial heating.
  • Provide specialist advice in relation to damp, timber infestations and structural defects and manage specialist works that are carried out in relation to this

About You:

A Surveying Qualification would be advantageous but not essential however a good all round knowledge of building trades is essential for the role.

The successful applicant will be to be courteous and have good customer relation's as the work is very customer facing. Experience with excel Spreadsheets being able to update / record information is also essential.

Experience in local authority voids, Damp works and Fire Safety would be advantageous.
