AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group seek a Compliance Standards Lead to drive excellence in the maintenance of assessment standards and compliance across its centres and qualifications.Established on the core values of inclusion, integrity, respect, and empowerment, the organisation aims to enhance the partnerships with every entity delivering its qualifications, ultimately empowering an expanding cohort of learners.The history of our organisation traces back to the early 1990s, culminating in the merger of AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group with Open College Network West Midlands in Autumn 2022. This significant union marked the consolidation of two longstanding Midlands Open College Networks, with roots dating back four decades.About the role.The Compliance Standards Lead is a new post in which you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation’s adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.Reporting to the Head of Access and Compliance, you will spearhead the establishment and maintenance of standards for assessment associates and centres across various qualifications.Your key responsibilities will include:Designing and implementing training programmesProviding guidance to centres on standards applicationManaging associate performanceContributing to qualification development and approval processesConducting external quality assurance activitiesOverseeing compliance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.The impact of this role is substantial, as the Compliance Standards Lead plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity of assessments, maintaining compliance across all operations and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity within the organisation.Through effective leadership, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and meticulous attention to detail, the Compliance Standards Lead ensures that AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group remains at the forefront of excellence in the education sector.You will be expected to work from the office in Derby or Wolverhampton approximately 2 days a week.The role is on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent position.Who we are looking for.The ideal candidate for the role of Compliance Standards Lead will possess a blend of professional qualifications and relevant experience, including a professional qualification at level 5 or above and at least two years of leading teams or projects.We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cross-sector post-16 education and lifelong learning, as well as familiarity with awarding body and regulatory structures.Essential skills include proficiency in external quality assurance processes, qualification development, and report writing.You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.You will be highly motivated, with a keen focus on achieving business targets and implementing strategic plans effectively.Strong project management abilities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a high level of personal organisation, diligence, and integrity.The ideal candidate will also showcase their excellent leadership qualities and be committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the organisation.
