Compliance Officer (Law Firm)

Title: Lawyer - Compliance Officer (Law Firm)

Salary: Basic salary + commission per case completed (50%) + share option

Location: London (3-4 days onsite, 1-2 days remote)

Contract: Permanent full time

Non-negotiable Requirements:

• 5 years of PQE AFTER qualified in the UK
• Basic understanding of Chinese culture

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage legal documentation
• Conduct legal research and investigate the facts of each case
• Advise on a range of issues relating to the protection and enforcement of IP, from infringement disputes to commercial exploitation and agreements
• Liaise with clients/stakeholders and relevant parties, such as tax and financial advisers to structure the transaction
• Conduct negotiations to reach desired outcomes
• Delegate and outsource work when appropriate

Preferred Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• UK legal qualification
• Legal expertise in Corporate Law, M&A, Intellectual Property
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
• Proven track records of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Proven excellence in leadership
