As the Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the firm’s regulatory obligations to the FCA and overseeing regulations for installations. This role is suitable for individuals seeking to enter a Compliance Manager position or progress in their career. As our business continues to grow, we seek a candidate who is self-motivated and open to embracing change.
Key Responsibilities across the wider Tomato group:
Manage day-to-day regulatory matters and serve as the firm's main contact with financial regulators to ensure the company’s compliance framework meets regulatory obligations
Oversee Data Protection/GDPR compliance.
Provide support to the complaints function with second-line complaints handling.
Review and maintain relevant policy documents and ensure up to date policy training is available for the wider business.
Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO
Oversee the general group compliance for home installations.
Keep up to date with regulatory returns.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, Ofgem compliance and other relevant teams to ensure Group compliance
Scope of Role:
Maintain and in-depth understanding in relation to the areas of key responsibility or upskilling where appropriate.
Lead on strategy in relation to the areas of key responsibility
Lead on any required remediation activities in relation to the areas of key responsibility.
Stay up to date with and relevant regulatory changes and implementing them across the wider Tomato group.
Lead on any new FCA authorisations across the wider Tomato group.
Lead on compliance in relation to installation related licences and schemes, support in upskilling will be available where necessary.
Produce, maintain and implement policies, processes and frameworks meeting regulatory obligations.
Perform required audits in relation to the areas of key responsibility.
Produce any relevant reports in relation to the areas of key responsibility.
Carry out any training required in relation to the areas of key responsibility.
Identify and assess risks across the wider Tomato group.
Essential Skills:
Experience in compliance, with a focus on FCA regulations.
Thorough knowledge of FCA and ICO guidelines and standards.
Exceptional analytical and problem - solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Self-motivated, organised individual with great attention to detail.
Excellent prioritisation skills
Able to work at a fast pace and accepting of change.
Preferred Skills:
Professional certification in compliance.
Previous experience in new authorisations and regulatory returns
Previous experience with electrical installation compliance.
