Compliance Manager

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our growing team based in Avonmouth. The team provides governance, risk assurance andcompliance services. All essential for maintaining a solid foundation, as we contribute towards asustainable future.
What you'll do
You will use your knowledge and experience of regulations and system development to ensure that GENeco hasthe most effective and efficient framework of controls and operating rhythms to ensurecompliance withregulatory obligations. You will monitor and influence future legal andregulatory change, with strong communication skills in sharing knowledge to ensure that both our business and people remain one step ahead of change.
You will manage our relationship with the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies, as the primary point of contact, responsible for ensuring quality information provision to meetenvironmental permit conditions and coordinating work provided by our service provider.
As a change champion, you will ensure that regulatory obligations are considered when change such as capital investment projects are identified. You will front the progression of environmental permit applications and system development to support compliance.
What you'll need

You will be passionate about sustainability, the environment, decarbonisation and findinginnovation approaches to today's problems.
Youwill have a degree or equivalent in renewable energy, sustainability, environmental science or related subjects.
Youwill have at least 5 years of experience in compliance, liaising directly with the Environment Agency on a range of topics including environmental permit applications.
Youwill have at least 5 years experience of improving systems to international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and EU Skills Council's Competence Management Scheme and/or internal auditing.
You will have great business acumen, a critical thinker, with an objective, fact based approach.
Youwill have at least 5 years experience of working in a commercial business.
