Salary: £55,300 - £62,390 inclusive of London Weighting
Location: Barbican Estates Office
The City of London Corporation manages 2,900 homes across the City of London and 6 surrounding Boroughs, including 1,930 homes for social rent and estate parking and storage facilities.
We have an excellent opportunity for an outstanding candidate with a passion for social housing to join our Property Service’s Team. This is an ideal role for an experienced housing professional with a proven background in housing compliance and the ability to manage our obligations relating to the “big six” – gas safety, water hygiene, Asbestos, Electrical Safety, lifts and fire risk.
Reporting to the Head of Repairs and Maintenance, you will be the Property Services lead professional for all compliance matters, ensuring high standards of customer service are provided to residents and motivating a busy team to maintain high levels of performance.
You will have:
Substantial experience of housing compliance and able to ensure all members of the Housing Division are aware of the Landlord’s compliance responsibilities.
Excellent IT skills and experience of using housing management and financial systems.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and policy in the social housing sector.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident presentation style.
A positive “can do” attitude and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery.
Please note that occasional travel will be required to other City of London sites for meetings and staff supervision. Occasional evening and weekend work is required by prior arrangement (TOIL scheme available).
