Swift is currently collaborating with a leading enterprise in the Preston region.



The Role: As the Compliance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee, implement, assess, and enhance quality systems to ensure the company's adherence to all audit standards and customer codes of practice.



Job Details:




  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: Up to �35,000.00 per year

  • Benefits: Casual dress, company pension, free parking, life insurance, on-site parking

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday



Key Responsibilities:




  • Ensure the site's Quality Management System (QMS) meets third-party and retail requirements, including audit standards, with a strong familiarity with BRCGS for Food.

  • Establish a process for reviewing relevant audit standards and industry regulations through gap analysis and take necessary actions to ensure QMS compliance.

  • Implement new procedures or update existing ones to align with customer codes of practice, industry legislation, and other audit standards.

  • Support the on-site trainer in effectively implementing updated company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Coordinate internal audits according to the schedule, ensuring timely communication and closure of actions.

  • Actively participate in the HACCP Team, attending meetings and conducting required documentation reviews.

  • Manage technical data, analyzing trends in line with business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and assisting relevant teams with improvement plans and corrective actions.

  • Lead all site audits.

  • Act as a deputy for the Technical Manager.



Essential Requirements:




  • Level 3 HACCP training

  • Level 3 Food Safety Internal Auditing training

  • Understanding of food microbiology

  • Knowledge of allergens and their management in food manufacturing

  • Proficiency in Excel for trending and data capture

  • Experience working with retail customers

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System

  • Solid understanding of BRCGS for Food version 9
