The core compliance areas will typically comprise:Fire Risk - including FRAs;Fuel & Gas Safety;Electrical Safety;Asbestos;Water Safety/Legionella; andLifts and lifting equipment.The role requires an individual who is accountable, comfortable in working proactively with our clients, building relationships and has the ambition to develop a specialist compliance team with support from discipline Partners. We anticipate a workload including the following:Detailed diagnostic audits cover the core compliance areas highlighted aboveHigh level and repeat health checksSupporting development of action plans, recovery plans and implementation requirements specific to a client organisationSupporting development of new organisational structure, operating models, policies procedures and risk assessmentsSupporting client recruitment and training requirementsBroader scope to include non-housing related assets and requirementCollaborative working with our data specialists to understand system deficiencies and requirementsSupport development of Building Safety CasesOversight of existing specialist external consultants and compliance related activity within the disciplineYou will also have an active involvement in supporting future growth within the team, including development of proposals and wider business development activities.Experience and Skills RequiredKnowledge of current asset management, compliance and statutory best practice and regulatory requirements will be essential in advising clients and must be up to dateProven track record in the six core areas of domestic compliance, ideally with experience from a consultancy and/or housing backgroundAppropriate university and professional qualifications such as NEBOSH would be highly desirable, although not essentialHousing sector related qualifications such as CIHCM would be desirable, although not essentialAn understanding of the housing, central and local government sectors would be highly desirableAbility to balance hard compliance requirements and specific client operational requirements to produce accurate and robust advice.Strong project management skills, and ability to deliver engagements within tight timescales, to appropriate quality and financial objectivesAmbition to become self-reliant in terms of workload and new opportunitiesYou will be of an analytical mind and high level of intellect - combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and reasoned advice.It is anticipated the role will require initial and on-going training in areas where knowledge may be limited and you will be fully supported by Ridge in gaining this expertise.
