Compliance Assurance OfficerCompany: Morson Talent (Recruitment Agency for Severn Trent Green Power)Location: Derby (with attendance at operational sites and head office as required)Overview:Morson Talent, in partnership with Severn Trent Green Power, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Assurance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures, contributing to the overall success of Severn Trent Green Powers operations.Key Responsibilities:Act as a key liaison for compliance matters, fostering effective relationships with operational teams and support functions.Prepare audit requirements and documentation in collaboration with the Compliance Governance Manager, ensuring thorough evaluation of compliance.Conduct internal audits pertaining to regulatory compliance, GDPR, H&S, and ISO standards, reporting findings and facilitating necessary actions.Communicate compliance outcomes to operational and function leads, collaboratively developing action plans to drive compliant solutions.Review operational risks and controls, supporting stakeholders in mitigating risks effectively.Assist in the preparation for and execution of external audits, ensuring readiness and facilitating activities as necessary.Deliver Toolbox Talks on H&S standards and emergency scenarios, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.Regularly review and report on compliance metrics, demonstrating adherence to standards.Actively promote accident and near-miss reporting, contributing to a proactive safety culture.Attend site locations, head office, and virtual meetings as required to complete regulatory audits and engage with key stakeholders.Support investigations and project-related activities as directed by line management.Represent the Compliance Assurance Team at regional performance meetings and other relevant forums.Undertake any additional tasks necessary to support team requirements, site compliance, and budget controls.Policies and Procedures:Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and adherence to company policies, procedures, and the Integrated Management System.Complete all mandatory company training and uphold confidentiality and privacy standards.Utilize company tools, equipment, and assets in accordance with policies to minimize losses.Putting Our Values into Practice:Demonstrate care by involving others, responding positively to challenges, and nurturing talent within the team.Show commitment by leveraging networks, anticipating consequences, and seeking innovative solutions.Pursue excellence by anticipating problems, securing optimal commercial outcomes, and making educated decisions.Foster innovation by being forward-looking, proactive, and positive.Uphold integrity by seeking feedback, taking accountability, and contributing to the wider agenda.Competencies for Success:Experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO) preferred.Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and drive compliance objectives.Strong data analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management capabilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive work ethic.Qualifications & Experience:Experience in a regulated industry, ideally in a compliance audit-based role, preferred.Practical experience in environmental and waste management desirable.Knowledge of environmental permits and regulations (e.g., EA permits) advantageous.NEBOSH certification preferred.Full UK driving license required.To apply, click apply below.
