Complex Injury- Paralegal– Newcastle – The opportunity to develop your legal skills and experience working with a recognised market leader in catastrophic injury work within this national firms Complex Injury Claims Team.OverviewJob Title: ParalegalLocation: NewcastleSalary: Up to 27,000Work pattern: HybridTerm: PermanentPrevious experience: Experience and understanding of the litigation process.A varied and unique caseload.Working out of the firms Newcastle office, you will be exposed to non-delegated high value multi-track and catastrophic injury claims including assisting on multi-million pound brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and fatal claims. Your key accountabilities will include:Preparing, filing, and serving court documents and diarising of court orders and hearing datesArranging appointments for claimants to be seen by medical expertsReviewing medical records, photographic evidence and surveillance footage and drafting summaries of those reviewsPreparing instructions to counselThe ideal applicantThe role is suited someone who already has experience working in a paralegal or similar role in a personal injury team and is looking to develop their skills and career in complex injury claims. The ideal candidate will also:Have experience of and understanding of the litigation processShow particular attention to detail when dealing with repetitive tasksPossess a good telephone and communication skills with people at all levelsRemain calm under pressureBe organised and prioritise tasks using initiativeThe role offers a hybrid working arrangement with the option of working 1 day per week in the office and 4 days working from home.If you are interested in finding out more, please don’t hesitate to apply.
