Join our team as a Complex Care Worker and provide high-quality care to our clients in Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas.

Drivers with access to own vehicle essential to the post.

Complex care skills including experience with Invasive and Non Invasive Ventilation, Cough Assist, Oral Suctioning, Medication Administration via PEG and a desire to support clients with complex life alerting conditions are desirable to the post.

Hours of work: Guaranteed hours available in packages where support is needed up to 24 hours per day.

Contracted hours: To be discussed at interview.

Salary: Starting at �11.66 -�13.30 per hour plus enhancements for bank holidays, travel time and mileage payments.

About the Role

Hours of Work: Guaranteed hours available which can be discussed at interview.

Staff with flexibility to work a rolling rota pattern desired to enable rotas to be planned in advance.

Complex care skills such and experience with non invasive ventilation, Cough Assist, Oral Suctioning, Medication administration via PEG and a desire to support clients with complex life alerting conditions is essential to the post.

Shift times may vary depending on client need

Complex Care Worker Duties
  • Confidently support people in a person-centred way
  • Carry out clinical interventions as trained
  • Carry out personal care including bathing and toileting support.
  • Manage medication.
  • Manage clinical interventions ( once trained and competent to carry out such tasks).
  • Prepare meals and drinks.
  • Assist people into the community using public transport.
  • Attend training and team meetings.
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Essential Skills

Complex Care Worker Requirements:

  • Previous UK work experience in Health and Social care essential.
  • Previous work experience with complex care desirable ( full training given).
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills as described in the main responsibilities
  • Able to follow instructions on both written and electronic care plans
  • Literate in spoken and written English
  • Drivers with access to own vehicle essential to the post.
  • Update Service Adult Workforce Enhanced DBS (Highly desirable)
