Company Accountant

A very different and interesting Company Accountant role, which is offered on a Hybrid basis, with some travel to Matlock in Derbyshire, and other sites.
In this role you will be working for an Investor and Entrepreneur with extensive experience, where you will learn a lot and get some great exposure.  This investor has a number of businesses and you would be overseeing the day to day accounting for these small businesses, which include a number of start-ups.
Hence, you will need a good breadth of accounting knowledge and be willing to be involved in both high level aspects such as purchasing of businesses and financing, but also be able to do the basic bookkeeping, VAT returns and company accounts.  You will be the right-hand person, and you will need to be a self-starter who is motivated, chasing up things which need to be done.
The role offers excellent flexibility, and a Part-Time person with the right experience will also be considered.
The businesses operate on Xero or Sage, so experience on one or both of those systems would be an advantage.
