Community Worker

This will be a busy and challenging role and therefore you will have commitment and dedication to providing high quality support to family and staff in line with OFSTED regulations. You will also be required to have excellent safeguarding standards and a strong ethos of providing effective support to families to achieve positive outcomes.
As a Social Worker, in conjunction with other team members and professionals, you will have the overall responsibility of assessing, observing, supporting, and monitoring allocated families. You will also have some responsibility of staff supervision, which will include overall quality assurance of parenting capacity assessments. You will also have responsibility for the progression and quality of all the final parenting capacity assessments that are submitted to the local authorities.
A Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
Good knowledge of safeguarding, assessment, and risk management and established experience of completing parenting capacity and holistic whole family assessments.
Experience of partnership working with families and external agencies, preferably in a Safeguarding or Looked after Children’s Teams.
Must be prepared to be flexible across evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the service.
