Job Advert: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)

Location: Watford, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Rate: £25.37 per hour (Umbrella)
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for a new challenge? We have exciting opportunities for Band 6 CPNs to join our dynamic teams in Watford, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead. Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, and interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and support to service users in the community.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Act as a key worker for service users, ensuring continuity of care and coordinating services to meet their individual needs.
Engage in crisis intervention and management, providing immediate support to individuals experiencing acute mental health issues.
Promote recovery and social inclusion by supporting service users in their homes and within community settings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records in line with professional and organizational standards.
Requirements:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
Previous experience working as a Band 6 CPN or similar role in community mental health settings.
Excellent assessment, care planning, and risk management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with service users and their families.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to travel within the assigned location (Watford, St Albans, or Hemel Hempstead) as required.
