It is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.You will join 6wte Consultant Paediatricians, 2.8wte Specialist Grade Doctors, and 1wte Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesYou will be expected to:Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across South West Essex.Provide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the local Child Protection rotaSupport your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiativeWork alongside 6wte Consultant Paediatricians, 2.8wte Specialist Grade Doctors, and 1wte Specialty Doctor within the serviceCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.Person Specification

EssentialFull GMC Registration with a license to practice

Knowledge

EssentialMastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disordersKnowledge and training in Child safeguarding

Experience

EssentialAt least 4 years post graduate training including 2 years community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences).
