Description of Job We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team as our Community and Operations Strategic lead.Your role would be to provide oversight and leadership for YCC’s community-focused ministries, and develop a cohesive strategy to provide effective coordination in all that we do, including:Yeovil4Family: our successful programme that provides early help support to around 200 families each yearThe Yeovil Welcome Hub: our drop-in support service that’s helped around 250 refugees and asylum seekers in the last 12 monthsThe Roost: our drop-in support service for the homeless and vulnerably-housed communityJob ClubOur thriving Coffee Shop.We are also looking for someone who can work with statutory and third sector agencies, as well as other churches, to develop new solutions and programmes that meet evident needs in our community. This includes, but is not limited to, programmes for the elderly and for those who need mental health support. We want to collaborate with other agencies, charities, and churches to ensure we are working effectively and efficiently and sharing data as appropriate, to meet the needs of the wider community.A big part of this role will be to pursue the ongoing funding we require to support our community hub. We are looking for someone who can identify grants, bids, and other new sources of funding, and put together inspiring and successful applications.Yeovil Community Church is a vibrant, diverse community with a mix of generations and cultures, teens, adults, children and seniors living out faith, hope and love in our community. Alongside our community hub, we also host thriving stay and play groups for young families, dynamic children’s and youth programmes and host a gap year programme called Create.
