As a member of our team you will be professional, reliable, compassionate and safe with excellent communication skills and a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through evidence-based practice.Main duties of the jobKEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide safe and effective care to pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periodWork in partnership with women and their familiesWork collaboratively as a member of the Multidisciplinary teamROLE SUMMARYThe post holder will be a registered midwife with the ability to practice autonomously when providing care to women during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period, the midwife will be the prime care provider to mothers and their families.The individual will work as a member of a team providing maternity care to women within the hospital and community.As a registered midwife work within the framework of the NMC Code and the London Northwest University Healthcare Trust Guidelines, protocols and policies.The post holder will deputise the ward or department in the absence of the senior in the community setting the post holder will take responsibility for a named caseload and participate within flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.About usLondon North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) cares for the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.Our team of more than 8,200 clinical and support staff serve a diverse population of almost one million people.We run major acute services at:Northwick Park Hospital: home to one of the busiest emergency departments (A& E) in the country.
