Job Description:
Connecting with, understanding and communicating the direct needs of our 2 primary communities: Children & Young People, and the Dance Workforce with a specific focus on individuals from a Global Majority background and those practicing culturally specific dance forms nationwide.
Supporting team members in the planning of new and existing activities – plugging in knowledge from networks to ensure we offer the best quality service for members and the sector we serve.
Generating ideas and creating content for social media, newsletters, articles, and any other relevant communications that cover best practices on inclusion and other EDI-related matters.
Contributing to our data-led inclusion projects internally including the dissemination and analysis of our internal staff survey
Supporting the implementation of our EDI policy and action plan
Working across teams to contribute towards the design and evaluation stages of public-facing activities
Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the Head of Workforce Development (your line manager)
Person Specification:
Excellent organisational, administrative, and project management skills
Proven experience working with a diverse range of stakeholder groups
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting
Experience in small-scale project delivery and working across different teams
Experience in delivering training and/or workshops
Comprehensive knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices, and implementing diversity and inclusion programs
A good understanding of current issues in the dance and broader cultural sector
The ability to work independently and effectively prioritise own workload
Understanding of the challenges faced by global majority artists and culturally specific dance form practitioners and the ability to articulate how One Dance UK can support them
