This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.You will join another 4.6wte Consultant Paediatricians, 1wte Specialist Grade Doctor, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 1.2wte Core/GP Trainees within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.Why Redbridge?Redbridge has excellent rail, underground and road links with central London, which are seven miles away.Job responsibilitiesYou will be expected to:Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across Redbridge.Provide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the local Child Protection rotaSupport your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiativeWork alongside 4.6wte Consultant Paediatricians, 1wte Specialist Grade Doctor, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 1.2wte Core/GP Trainees within the serviceCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.Person SpecificationGMC registrationFull GMC registration with a licence to practiceQualificationsCCT or equivalentSpecialist RegisterInclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCSTExperienceAt least 2 years' experience in Community Child HealthDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.NELFT North East London Foundation Trust
