Purpose
Reporting to and working alongside the Head of Communications and Media, working in the communications and media department, under the overall leadership of the Director of Communications.
Devising and pitching stories to mainstream media designed to showcase Aston Martin Aramco, its drivers, its people and its partners in a powerfully positive light, especially with business, consumer and lifestyle earned media.
Clear focus on active, positive storytelling and securing earned media in key markets (US, UK, EU, MENA)
Attend Formula One events as an active member of the Communications team, managing media commitments for team drivers and management and developing key relationships in the paddock.
Supporting the communications and media department with creating, delivering and writing best-in-class brand/creative communications/media content in all forms for the brand’s audience and fan base, in media releases, and on external digital, social and mainstream media.
Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the of the communications and media department, including the management of a departmental editorial calendar/tracker, managing the agenda for department team meetings, and other operational support as required.
To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructors’ Championship and delivering media value to our commercial partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and execution of communications planning that align to the overall objectives of Aston Martin Aramco and the Communications department.
Proactively devise, manage, and deliver media opportunities for the team’s talent roster, campus and partners.
Attend Formula One races to manage media activities and support the Head of Communications deliver media counsel to drivers, senior management and members of the driver squad.
Support the Head of Communications with identifying and delivering opportunities outside of traditional paddock media.
Help to develop and execute targeted media plans in key markets for the Aston Martin Aramco brand.
Identify new opportunities to broaden the reach and appeal of the team, with a particular focus on shaping and highlighting positive stories about the AMRTC and the people who work there.
Contribute to creative ideas for unique driver and team activations and media events to grow media and partner engagement - on and off track.
Ensure an efficient media office function, including: evaluating and responding to media enquiries and requests in a timely manner, scheduling interviews, writing and releasing press releases and statements, arranging media sessions, producing media schedules.
Support in the delivery of ‘tentpole’ communications/media campaigns and pitches such as Car Launch and partner announcements.
Maintaining a media coverage repository, including researching and curating new media lists, and managing media coverage reports as required.
Produce and manage schedules for the trackside communications function, working with the wider commercial and engineering teams.
Support with the department’s financial admin, including raising purchase orders and budget planning in conjunction with other members of the department.
Attend and proactively participate in meetings as required.
Work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to you job role.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience in a Formula One team or brand / high level motorsport / sports environment is desirable.
Possess an excellent working knowledge of a busy communications team.
Possess a thorough understanding of storytelling and the mainstream media agenda.
Proven ability with the written word, and the experience of writing/editing high-quality content that stays true to a brand’s messaging guidelines and is right first time.
Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.
Be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
Possession of natural creative flair, with enthusiasm and motivation for moving from concept to execution.
Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
To communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues.
To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
A willingness and desire to listen, learn, and collaborate.

Full drivers’ licence.
Location
The role will be based at the AMR Technology Campus at Silverstone however there will be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
