Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking to hire a Communications Lead, AI to own, develop and deliver the narrative around AI capabilities within the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE). The aim being to inform, educate and excite colleagues. The Comms Lead, AI will have complete ownership of internal comms delivery and will work closely with the Head of Communications, TS&S (dotted reporting line), as well as collaborating with Group Corporate Communications for major company-wide campaigns and external comms. Part of the role will be focused on the orchestration and practices around change management & adoption within the divisions.
The role suits passionate, proactive, goal-oriented candidates who are intellectually curious, and thrive in complicated but ambitious organisations. The role is well-suited to versatile candidates with a background in Comms, and a level of experience of L&D and change management. The role involves developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies, plans, and ensuring that all messaging aligns with our company's vision and goals for artificial intelligence.
People with heart and ambition, and a strong mix of emotional and professional intelligence, will be successful in the role. The candidate will be working alongside other members of the CoE, Architects, Engineers, Delivery Managers and Product Managers. Outside of the team there will be deep collaboration with divisional and group comms teams to continually refine and hone the messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the positioning, messaging and communications strategy across a diverse Informa audience and its divisions to effectively convey the AI CoE’s mission, vision, and projects.
Develop and deliver strategic communication plans being accountable for their implementation.
Work with the Head of Delivery & Changes, shape and define the overall strategic approach to change management in alignment with the “new” T&SS model.
Work with divisional teams to, design and implement specific comms & change management strategies across the CoE projects to specific audiences and stakeholders in order to embed change across Informa divisions and to develop new capabilities with colleagues and also with customers.
Oversee the creation of compelling and engaging content for a variety of different platforms and channels, bring in external resource as needed.
Manage the AI CoE’s internal brand and reputation, ensuring consistency and maintaining high standards across all channels, monitoring & acting on feedback as appropriate.
Set KPIs, monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, adjusting plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Manage Comms stakeholders across the group and divisions, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and alignment to CoE’s objectives, while balancing diverse interests, maintain complete alignment with wider T&SS comms approaches spanning all of Technology.
Influence divisional comms strategies & plans, to ensure that AI messages are included and key objectives met.
Work with the AI CoE team to promote wins, best practices and gains for Informa, colleagues and clients.
Champion the promotion of ethical, inclusive and diverse, responsible, and sustainable AI practices within the organization, aligning with global standards and societal expectations.
Foster a knowledge-sharing culture with consistent feedback loops within the CoE and with the wider business and partners to spur innovation and enhance the quality of AI solutions.
Cultivate an environment that prioritizes continuous learning, skills development, and leadership growth, while proactively scanning for and integrating emerging AI trends and best practices into our strategy and operations.
Support the Informa group and divisions in introducing AI skills and capabilities into competency frameworks, identifying suitable training courses and wider L&D initiatives.
Actas a key contact for the divisions regarding change management, adoption, approach, tools and techniques.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex AI concepts into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
Qualifications
Comms and visibility: effective at managing expectations and communications (written and verbal) to all levels and disciplines in the organisation.
Deep interest in AI capabilities, the technologies, the emerging field, operationalising in the enterprise and how to truly unlock potential in a FTSE100 business
Getting things done: highly organised, resourceful and action-oriented with experience driving focus, clarity and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
Decision-making: ability to work pragmatically, having the confidence to make quick decisions based on the available data and move forward at pace in an environment of ambiguity.
Organisational smarts: Experience working in a matrix-based organisation, building relationships and trust across a range of teams and functions. Know and understand how to bring people with you.
