You'll work as part of a small collaborative team to deliver strategic services to both national and international customers with stringent key performance indicators, with a focus on engineering and operational solutions including design, repair and modification.Day-to-day, you'll be a duty engineer and complete maintenance, fault repair and standby duties. You'll be capable of working within a small but highly effective team where the highest of standards are expected from both a technical and behavioural perspective. You'll also:Operation and maintenance of transmitters and associated equipment as part of the engineering team to agreed standardsMaintain technical and administrative records and provide information as requiredGive technical support and work independently on specialist projects as requiredUndertake first line fault investigation and assist with fault rectification and module repairBe part of a field service team and point of contact for helpdesk queries as requiredCarry out lone working duties at appropriate sites, in accordance with Health and Safety RegulationsThe successful candidate will be expected to work a flexible schedule, including night and weekend shifts, as required.This role is full time, 37.5-hours per week and is based on site at Skelton.Essential experience of the Communications Engineer:Comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety proceduresPractical experience of transmitter operation and maintenanceBasic workshop skills including hand and power toolsAppropriate ICT knowledgeQualifications for the Communications Engineer:Engineer qualified to NVQ-4 (HNC/HND) levelFull UK driving licenceSecurity Clearance:The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
