In this brand new role the Communications and Campaign Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing communication campaigns with the brand team and leading our partnership strategy.
We are looking for a creative, strategic thinker who has hands on experience in delivering best in class communication and has a proven track record of adding value and shaping the forward direction of a growing business.
The role will work within the Pets Choice marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing. Working cross functionally as well as managing agencies and partnership relationships.
Working with the brand team you will be responsible for the creation, execution and evaluation of all brand consumer and trade communication campaigns. It is essential that the post holder is confident and comfortable around dogs and other pets and willing to travel when required.
You will have a strong background in brand communications across multimedia channels, with experience in ATL TV/VOD/Digital campaigns. FMCG experience is preferred, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Main responsibilities
Active role in delivering the business KPI’s of turnover, volume, profitability and brand share targets through the agreed brand communications campaigns.
Responsible for the overall strategic development and execution of consumer communication and campaign plans, ensuring alignment with brand, innovation and sales teams.

Responsible for the co-ordination and integration of communication plans across all media channels, working closely with the Shopper Marketing Manager, Digital, Social & PR teams to create a fully integrated and aligned campaign plan.
Setting, management and tracking of budgets and campaign evaluations.
Development and consistent execution of the brand communication guidelines including communication tone of voice development.
Responsible for the briefing and overseeing production assets for all brand consumer and trade campaign plans.
Sourcing, selecting and management of communication and media buying agencies, ensuring we are maximising the ROI across comms channels and agencies.
Lead and champion all marketing communication updates on behalf of the Marketing Team to internal and external stakeholders e.g. retail customers
Development, coaching and leadership of the Social Media & PR team.
Oversee the development and delivery of Social Media and PR strategy and plans, ensuring the team are aligned to the agreed brand objectives and performance KPIs/ROI.
Oversee the delivery of the internal communications strategy plans.
Oversee the creation and delivery of brand partnerships, ensuring we receive value for money and aligns to overall brand communications strategy.
Pro-actively monitor and share marketing trends and competitive activity, suggesting new ways of working and regularly review working practices to deliver efficient and cost-effective activity.
Responsible for the set up and evolvement of communications process, templates and WOW.
Support in other comms related tasks when required, including internal and brand events.
Providing cover for the Digital Marketing Manger and Brand Controller when required.
Skills, experience & qualifications required
Degree in marketing or similar.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a FMCG business is essential
At least 5 years’ experience in a communication role.
At least 3 years in managing big brand activation plans across multimedia including TV, VOD, Digital channels.
At least 3 years working with cross functional brand and shopper teams
Strong interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to interface and influence a diverse range of stakeholders from various cross-function and multi-cultural teams as well as 3rd party agencies and partners.
Highly creative, innovative and strategic.
Strong analytics skills and result oriented. Use of category and media data.
Excellent organisation skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem solver with a positive and can-do attitude, and welcomes change and working in a fast-paced environment
Must be fluent in English
A pet lover.
The post holder must live commutable to Blackburn, with the ability to work a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
