Description Commissioning Manager - Quantity Surveying
Circa £60,000 per annum
London Based with Hybrid Working

Norse Evolve have a brand new, exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveying based Commissioning Manager to join our team in delivering on a wide range of upcoming innovative schemes & projects for its public sector client, whilst providing high quality design consultancy services and ensuring the commercial success of customer operations.
Main Responsibilities will includethe commissioning of a range of design consultancy services required to deliver construction schemes from large scale Urban Regeneration to smaller education or corporate property projects. The focus is on, procuring the required specialist consultancy services to support individual local authority building projects whilst optimising the market to create competition and to drive value through the supply chain.
The role will be responsible for driving our consultancy procurement strategy, effective client briefing, at pace commissioning, maintaining a comprehensive suite of procurement routes, regular market briefing and engagement, robust tender evaluation, effective debriefing, comprehensive contract execution and consultant account and performance management. The post will also oversee work alongside our commercial team to ensure accurate billing, income updates, and forecasting of resources required on projects.
Your Skills and Experience:
Our successful candidate will have extensive experience within a similar role, alongside this you will be able to demonstrate:
Hold Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Quantity Surveying / Project Management related discipline
Significant experience in commissioning and procurement within the Built Environment sector
Leading the commissioning of design consultancy services and overseeing activities for procurement compliance, contractual adherence, performance management, commercial reconciliation and validation.
Experience of pricing consultancy and construction works
Advising on procurement strategy and ensuring the client receives value for money.
Strong understanding of appropriate contract types in relation to the services to be commissioned
Understanding of Commissioning, Procurement, Commercial Risk Management and Financial Management
