Location: UK
Hours: 40hr week - remote

About The Company:
Our client are a leading supplier and operator of combined heat and power (CHP), gas, and diesel power generation solutions. Specializing in delivering efficient and sustainable energy systems, they provide comprehensive design, installation, and maintenance services to clients across various industries.
Main purpose of the role:

  • To efficiently carry out all aspects of Commissioning on the Plant, including all interfaces with third parties, as required by the specific project.
  • Observe and follow all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, regulations and

requirements, and procedures as per the company handbook always.

  • Train clients and client personnel on the product to allow safe operation as required.
  • To carry out all fault finding (local & remotely) on installations, ensuring that all

problems are closed out to the required quality standard.

  • On occasion as instructed by the Commissioning Manager, support the wider team in

specialist trouble shooting and field support as required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the Commissioning Manager for all aspects related to the Commissioning of all gas and diesel engines and their ancillary equipment, at the lowest operating cost while adhering to the performance criteria required within the Sales and Service Contracts.
  • Responsible for close co-operation with the Commissioning, Design and Projects team, and all associated with the delivery of the clients Contracts.
  • Day to day operational decisions.
  • Efficient time management to achieve acceptable commercial results .
  • The most important problem-solving area is that of engineering problem solving and efficient and effective resource management.
  • Day to day decisions of an engineering nature, while working within the parameters required by the Commissioning Manager. To do this a clear understanding of the

business goals are required.

  • Ability to refuse to accept and implement any business that fails to achieve profitability and risk criteria.
  • The profitability of all Contracts as measured against the published target.
  • The individual profitability of each Commissioning, Repair and Service job allocated.
  • The overall performance of the Contracts to achieve the above criteria at the lowest

operating cost.
Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification to ONC/D, NVQ level II or City & Guilds
  • Level 2 or equivalent in a mechanical/electrical discipline.
  • Competent time served Technician in a mechanical/electrical discipline, preferably with a minimum of 3 years with Power Generation Commissioning experience.
  • knowledge of gas and diesel engine within Power Generation industry.
  • Flexible approach to working conditions due to the nature of projects.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary mandatory in-house training programme associated with the role.
