Global Commissioning Engineer
Location: Flexible (Remote with international travel)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems for high-voltage generators and motors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and travel internationally to diverse locations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, commissioning, and fault-finding activities on excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems for HV generators and motors.
Conduct secondary injection testing on protection relays, synchronizers, transducers, and metering equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Perform commissioning and testing of HV generators and motors, including troubleshooting and optimizing AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) settings.
Interpret and analyse electrical drawings and control relay logic to facilitate system integration and optimization.
Conduct IR (Insulation Resistance) and Primary Injection testing to assess the integrity and performance of electrical components.
Perform Tan delta / capacitance testing and partial discharge testing to evaluate insulation condition and identify potential issues.
Utilize motor current signature analysis techniques to diagnose motor health and detect abnormalities.
Requirements
HND/HNC or greater with experience of at least 5 years’ experience.
Experience in commissioning & testing, generator protection, relay testing, AVR & excitation systems, commissioning and start-up, electrical troubleshooting and testing of circuitry.
Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors and generators.
Proficiency in installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems.
Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors and generators.
Any experience working on EX2100, EX2100e or PRISMIC A50 would be an advantage.
Any experience in IR & PI, Tan/delta or partial discharge testing would be an advantage, but not essential.
Willingness to travel internationally as required for project assignments.
