Commissioning and Contracts Officer - Working Age (Learning Disability) Commissioning and Contracts Officer - Working Age (Learning Disability) About usThe post will be based in the Families and Wellbeing Commissioning and Contracts Team ( Adults and Children) and will work with the Commissioning Working Age Team Manager and Commissioning Lead Working Age. The roleWe currently have a vacancy within the Council’s Commissioning and Contracts Team (Adults and Children) for a Commissioning and Contracts Officer Grade 8 – Full time 37 hours per week (£36,648 - £40,221)Alongside the Commissioning Lead and Team Manager for Working Age, this role is responsible for commissioning, monitoring, and reviewing the contracting arrangements for provision of Adult Learning Disability services in Warrington. Along with developing new services to meet gaps in service provision, you will work to improve the quality and outcomes in current provision working in partnership with in excess of 28 service providers supporting approx.200 service users.The role will involve the commissioning, procurement, and contract management of the full range of Learning Disability services including Supported Housing, Outreach, Shared Lives, Day Opportunity services, Respite and Residential and Nursing Care The Contracts & Commissioning team is a supportive, collaborative team where effective communication is essential, commitment to providing a quality service is expected and new ideas for improvements are welcomed.If you have a good understanding and commitment to ensuring that adults with a learning disability are supported to develop their independence, ensure their well-being and through the delivery of person-centred care and support are given the opportunity to live a safe, healthy and prosperous life in their communities, then this could be the role for you. If you are able to demonstrate transferable skills in relation to Working Age adults including individuals with a learning disability and or Neuro Diversity, then these attributes will be considered.As an individual you will be ‘person centred’, be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to break down complex issues and processes into manageable and deliverable activity. Our future success will be dependent on working collaboratively with other stakeholders both internally within the council and externally and co-producing new responses to local challenges.Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Local Government and preferably Social Care. Candidates must have excellent IT skills plus experience maintaining records via business and data management systems.
