Commercial Paralegal- Path to Qualification

Think Legal are working with a County Durham based law firm who are looking to add a commercial paralegal to their busy team.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 12 months experience supporting a commercial team.
This role is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer who wants to, in the longer term, be supported on a path to qualification as a lawyer.
The firm have a track record for nurturing and bringing through lawyers to qualification despite being a high street practice with 2 current solicitor apprentices, a trainee solicitor, and trainee licenced conveyancer currently working across the wider practice. One of the 3 Directors in the business has moved up the ranks from a trainee to Director.
Day to day you will be supporting experienced commercial lawyers across a diverse range of commercial areas of law from real estate, to commercial contracts and company commerical work. Although a high street firm the client base is surprisngly varied with regional clients as well as national and international clients needing assistance with UK based matters. The firm very much believe in allowing their lawyers to have a broad area of expertise rather than specialisms.
The firm is a really friendly place with approachable senior lawyers, no egos, and real togetherness. The firm do lots of community work in the County Durham area and enjoy getting out in the region from a business development and corporate social responsibility perspective with support for local charities, pro bono work with legal clinics and more.
Salary is competitive based on experience with a starting salary of £20.5k up to circa £28k for those more experienced paralegals who run their own matters and have a strong billing history.
