This uniquely created role for a Commercial Operations Scientist & Scientific Writer combines commercial elements and the creation of high-quality scientific content for publication and marketing purposes.

Based in South Cambridge, this is a full-time, permanent position which comes with an attractive salary and a great range of benefits.

Due to significant growth in customer enquiries, this role will support the commercial and laboratory operations teams and include:-

  • The creation of quotations and proposals for customers
  • Establishing customer requirements
  • Attendance at customer meetings
  • Liaising with internal colleagues to ensure proposals meet turnaround times, fully address customer requirements and are of the highest scientific quality, with suitable resources allocated to meet the project objectives
  • Contributing to customer account management
  • Assist in the creation of high-quality case studies, white papers, application notes and posters
  • Representing the company at conferences

Due to the specific requirements of the role, we're looking for the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • MSc or PhD in Biology
  • A technical understanding of ion channel biology and drug discovery research
  • Experience of working in a preclinical drug discovery or preclinical contract research environment
  • Familiarity with manual patch clamp electrophysiology, automated electrophysiology and fluorescence-based screening techniques

Experience creating technical documents would be desirable along with experience of organising webinars, conferences and marketing campaigns. WordPress experience would also be useful.
