A leading Food business with ambitious but achievable plans to grow their business, expand their categories and develop new products.

A new role has been created for a Commercial Manager / Marketing Manager to undertake the following duties:

• The initial task of the Commercial / Marketing Manager will be to identify and scope the market opportunity for the business;


• Initiate strategic change or corrective action where necessary.


• Establish the strategic vision and lead the development and implementation of a business plan that will see the company expand its current market share within its categories and enter new markets;


• Develop the consumer proposition and lead the development of all aspects of the project (product, packaging, commercial, logistics, sales and marketing) through to full in-market launch;


• Post launch, the jobholder will be required to lead and coordinate strategic activities that will build market share and equity in the brand;


• Reporting to, and working closely with company Directors, the Commercial Manager / Marketing Manager appointed will implement structures and systems to ensure sustainable profit and growth of the categories by setting relevant targets and managing performance;


• The Commercial Manager / Marketing Manager will develop Marketing communications that will drive brand awareness, engagement, product penetration and increased product listings;


• Work closely with the Sales team to ensure the Commercial plan is delivering the expected year-on-year revenues, margin and profitability;


• Be part of Development teams including Product Development, Sustainability and Packaging projects.

Experience Required:

• Applicants must have worked in a similar position previously, with at least 3 years commercial/marketing management experience from within the Food / Drinks industry;


• Previous experience of developing and invigorating Food Brands;


• Have an understanding of both Retail and Wholesale routes to market;


• Applicants should bring a mix of Commercial awareness combined with Marketing savvy;
