Job Description
The HENI Group is an international arts services business working with leading artists and estates across publishing, printmaking, digital, film, art research and analysis. We focus on the individual artist and their work, offering art services including printing and reproduction, digital management, events, mounting, logistics, fine art photography and an on-line art trading platform.
Within the HENI Group, Grieger is a world renown fine art printer, working with leading photographers and artists, producing museum quality prints and limited editions. The company has been in business for over 50 years.
We are now looking for an excellent and experienced Commercial Manager to work across the business to help drive operational efficiencies and apply commercial thinking the organisation. The Commercial Manager will also be instrumental in leading the Grieger business, helping to transform the organisation into a leading-edge, digitally driven business and at the same time preserving the culture of artisanal prints production. Speaking German would be a real plus.
This is a hands-on role which requires a bright, commercially minded and proactive individual who will bring innovative new approaches and efficiencies in all aspects of running the business.
You will be required to make real impact in driving operational and economic productivities, driving the required change, and being overall the core driver and decision-maker for the business.
The role will involve:
Working closely with the owner of the business, and advisers in both the UK and Germany
Driving the change and production expansion
Reviewing and optimising supply chain, operational costs, product pricing, projections and internal processes
Grow the market position of the business by building and maintaining new customer relationships
Ensuring customers are receiving consistently high levels of service
Reviewing, assessing and controlling the sales staff
Effectively manage the work council
Generally being responsible for commercial decisions
Fully utilise the potential and production capability
Qualifications:
Experience in bespoke and individualised manufacturing of luxurious goods an advantage but must have at least 5 years’ professional experience gained in a senior commercial role in either a printing, industrial or manufacturing SME.
Excellent communication skills and fluency, written and verbal, ideally in both English and German
Art experience not essential
Self-motivated, organised, with great attention to detail
Ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders
