Job Description
An exciting global leading Media company based in Central London with an awesome culture and excellent perks has a brilliant and appealing opening in the team for a Commercial Manager.
The Commercial Finance Manager position is a senior role in the agency to work closely with the Commercial Assistant Director and agencies. You will be supporting the Commercial Assistant Director to prepare accurate full-year P&L budgets and forecasts as well as monthly flash forecasts and variance analysis.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Assistant Director and agency owning the agency P&Ls and working closely with SBUs that service agency clients.
Supporting the Commercial Assistant Director to prepare accurate full year P&L budgets and forecasts as well as monthly flash forecasts.
Working with the UK&I Reporting Team to provide variance analysis and other adhoc information as required by EMEA FP&A/RCT.
Working with the Financial Control Team to escalate matters within the agencies as required
Ensure all appropriate contractual paperwork are in place and signed.
Supporting the Commercial Assistant Director and FD in preparing documentation for Financial/ compliance audits (NDA’s, SOW agreements, pre-audit, supervision of audit, audit report review & commentary, client management etc.
Support in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations to explain forecasts and budgets to the to the Executive Leadership Team.
Working with SBUs to analyse risks and identify gaps in TBG targets as well as working with the business to ensure robust cost control.
Organise and lead monthly and bi-monthly revenue review meetings with the relevant stakeholders within the business with support from the Commercial Business Partner.
Maintaining a detailed salary cost forecast by individual and working closely with HR to monitor headcount.
Preparing a monthly management information pack including YTD P&L performance vs budget/forecast, a P&L flash update and a debtors/WIP/unbilled summary for escalation.
Client profitability analysis and management – prepare monthly client profitability summaries to share with senior client leads/directors and work with the business to ensure accounts are profitable. Flagging areas of concern where client teams are under/over servicing clients.
Contract management – support the Commercial Business Partner and agency leads with contract and scope review, timesheet analysis, fee proposals and operational guidance communications including SBUs that service Magenta stream clients.
Prepare new business FTE proposals and support the Commercial Business Partner in putting together an overall Magenta stream proposal where necessary.
Manage the onboarding process for new clients including credit insurance and system set ups.
Develop and drive organisational change as and when required by the business
Candidate Requirements
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Strong communication and business partnering skills
Commercial experience required
Experience of people management
Hyperion experience desirable
Media industry experience desirable
Strong excel skills
